UP has distribution deals with both Ingram and Baker & Taylor, wholesalers that supply the largest mainstream book industry channels in the world. But we always focus on tightly-targeted specialty markets more than general interest bookselling portals. This approach helps us move books more directly to readers, bypassing substantial percentages traditionally taken by middlemen.

Unlike some POD book publishers that flood the market with thousands of marginal books that hold little (if any) real public appeal, UP is selective and releases only a limited number of new titles each year. We are focused on quality over quantity, and our policies are geared for the professional writer or book publisher. They are not suitable for vanity publishing, nor for writers who don't work hard to cultivate a grassroots audience after publication.
